This is a list of Official Vocaloid characters developed by companies using Yamaha's Vocaloid software.[1][2]

Sweet Ann is the first VOCALOID for the VOCALOID2 engine. She was released in June 2007. She has two designs; her original and her Taiwanese (2011) design. She was given official age, weight, and height by E-capsule. Not much info is given about her voice provider. She is known to be an Australian singer who goes by "Jody".

Big Al is the first English male VOCALOID for the VOCALOID2 engine. He has two designs; his original and his Taiwanese (2011) design. He was given official age, weight, and height given by PowerFX and E-capsule. He was announced in early 2007 where his voice provider would be Michael King. However, the voicebank was redone with Frank S. providing the voice and was finally released in December 2009.

OLIVER (おりばー) is an English and Japanese VOCALOID3 developed and distributed by PowerFX Systems AB. in collaboration with VocaTone.

OLIVER was released in December 2011 for the VOCALOID3 engine. He is often shown with his bird "James". The only known information about his voice provider is that he is from Britain.

YOHIOloid was planned to be released in early May of 2013, but was delayed for September 2013. His voice provider is a Swedish singer that has provided both an English and a Japanese voicebank. Unlike other PowerFX Vocaloids, he is not a "monster-themed" Vocaloid.

Leon was released in 2004 for the VOCALOID engine. He was the first Vocaloid, first English Vocaloid, and first male Vocaloid. However, he (along with Lola) had a lack of interest. This changed later on once interest began to pick up. Leon is officially off of the market.

Lola was released in January 2004 for the VOCALOID engine. She was the second Vocaloid, second English Vocaloid, and first female Vocaloid. However, she (along with Leon) had a lack of interest. This changed later on once interest began to pick up. Lola is officially off of the market.

Voice provider: Miriam Stockley

Miriam was released in July 2004 for the VOCALOID engine. Her voice provider, Miriam Stockley, is a famous British singer, who is also the lead singer of the band Adiemus. Miriam was the third Vocaloid, third English Vocaloid, and second female Vocaloid. She performed her first live concert in Novosibirsk, Russia, on December 26, 2004. Miriam is officially off of the market.

PRIMA (プリマ) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Zero-G Ltd. and distributed by Zero-G Ltd., Crypton Future Media, and Ecapsule. She was released in January 2008 and is the fourth English female Vocaloid and the second English Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Prima officially has no specific characteristic, however, fans have taken it upon themselves to create a personification of her voicebank using the photographed model on her box art as a source. That personification is commonly in the form of a very pale-skinned female with black hair and dark green eyes. However, there have been many others, as there is no limit to her appearance but there is a common pattern among the fandom.

In 2011 her Taiwanese appearance was revealed, her attire is loosely based on the Chinese opera house style and done as a theatrical representation of a animal, likely a fox. Ironically her hair and eye color have transferred to this design.

SONIKA (ソニカ) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Zero-G Ltd. and distributed by Zero-G Ltd., Crypton Future Media, and Ecapsule. She was released in July 2009 and is the fifth English female Vocaloid and the third English Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Sonika officially has two characteristic with a third being a winning contest entry. The fans have taken it upon themselves to create a personification of her voicebank using all three as a source, she is commonly portrayed with short hair and an ahoge(hair strand) as seen with her original design.

In 2010 and then 2011 her Taiwanese appearance was revealed, her attire is a similar take on her updated November design, minus the belt straps and elaborate tattoo. Her long coat now has speakers on each side, and due to no one truly knowing what her bottom half is like, the Taiwanese artists drew her with shorts and boots.

TONIO (トニオ) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Zero-G Ltd. and distributed by Zero-G Ltd., Crypton Future Media, and Ecapsule. He was released in July 2010 and is the third English male Vocaloid and the second English Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Tonio officially has no specific characteristic, however, fans have taken it upon themselves to create a personification of his voicebank using the photographed model on his box art as a source. That personification is commonly in the form of a light-skinned male with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. However, there have been many others, as there is no limit to his appearance but there is a common pattern among the fandom.

In 2011 his Taiwanese appearance was revealed, his attire has a theatrical Shakespearean appearance and references to monster/oni in Asian opera house stories. Ironically his hair and eye color have transferred to this design.

AVANNA (アバンナ) is a Vocaloid series 3, whose genre is being developed as a pop and dance with Celtic twist.

Avanna official has characteristics, portrayed as a young black-haired female with blue eyes. She has freckles and wears an outfit influenced by the Roman Britannia era. Her early concept design displays her with pointed ears, like an elf, this feature was removed from the finalized artwork at Yamaha's request.

BRUNO (ブルーノ, ぶるーの) is a V3 developed and distributed by Voctro Labs. He was released in December 2011 and is the first Spanish male Vocaloid to be on the market.

Bruno officially has characteristics, portrayed as a brown haired young man in a blue dress shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, and a hat. He was later redesigned by a different artist, who kept the characteristics similar, but gave him a lighter skin tone and is visibly wearing pants.

CLARA (クララ, くらら) is a V3 developed and distributed by Voctro Labs. She was released in December 2011 and is the first Spanish female Vocaloid to be on the market.

Clara officially has characteristics, portrayed as a black haired (with white highlights) female wearing heart-shaped glasses and a red top with a black vest. She was later redesigned by a different artist, who kept the characteristics similar, but gave her a lighter skin tone and added shorts.
MAIKA

MAIKA

MAIKA is a V3 developed and distributed by Voctro Labs. She was released in December 2013 and is the second Spanish female Vocaloid to be on the market.

MAIKA officially has characteristics, portrayed as a white haired (with red highlights on the ends of her two curly hair pieces) female wearing a red and white sleeveless shirt with a green tank top underneath, a blue skirt, white socks, red heels, and blue material connected to her heels. She also wears a blue headband, blue and red wrist coverings, and a blue cape-like covering.
ONA

ONA

ONA is a V3 developed and distributed by Voctro Labs. She is a private Vocaloid that is not commercially distributed and is made for concerts and events.

ONA officially has characteristics, portrayed as a brown haired female wearing a shirt inspired by Antoni Gaudí, blue jeans, red sneakers, gold hoop earrings, a black headband.

IA officially has characteristics, portrayed as a young platinum haired female; her hair is very long, she has blue eyes, wears a black top, pink skirt and white boots.

SF-A2 MIKI (SF-A2 開発コード miki; miki) is a V2 developed and distributed by AH-Software. She was released in December 2009 and is the sixth Japanese female Vocaloid and the fourth Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

SF-A2 miki officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as red haired android female in a short bottomed dress. Her hair is a notable feature due to the her large ahoge (hair strand).

KAAI YUKI (歌愛ユキ; Yuki Kaai) is a V2 developed and distributed by AH-Software. She was released in December 2009 after SF-A2 Miki and is the seventh Japanese female Vocaloid and the fifth Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Kaai Yuki officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a pig-tailed elementary school child with a traditional school uniform and backpack.

HIYAMA KIYOTERU (氷山キヨテル; Kiyoteru Hiyama) is a V2 developed and distributed by AH-Software. He was released in December 2009 after SF-A2 Miki and is the fourth Japanese male Vocaloid and the third Japanese male Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Hiyama Kiyoteru officially has characteristics. He is portrayed as a young school teacher wearing glasses and dressed in a two piece suit.

NEKOMURA IROHA (猫村いろは; Iroha Nekomura) is a V2 developed and distributed by AH-Software and affiliated with Sanrio Co., Ltd. She was released in October 2010 and is the ninth Japanese female Vocaloid and the eighth Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Nekomura Iroha officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a female wearing a red body suit, a kitty helmet, and large speakers on her arms and hands. She originally started as a character for the Hello Kitty to Issho! project, a group of characters who are fans of Sanrio merchandise.

YUZUKI YUKARI (結月ゆかり; Yukari Yuzuki) is a V3 developed and distributed by AH-Software and affiliated with Sanrio Co., Ltd. She was released in December 2011 and is the twelfth Japanese female Vocaloid and the fourth Japanese female Vocaloid 3 to be on the market.

Yuzuki Yukari officially has characteristic, portrayed as a female wearing a purple dress and hoodie with bunny ears. She is also a Voiceroid+.
Zunko

Tohoku Zunko

TOHOKU ZUNKO (東北ずん子) is a V3 being developed by AH-Software.

Tohoku Zunko officially has characteristics, portrayed as a female with clothing based off Zunda Mochi (a type of mochi/rice cake) and an archer. She was firstly released as a Voiceroid+.

VY1 (ぶいわいわん, ブイワイワン) is a V2 developed and distributed by Bplats, Inc. It was released in September 2010 and is the first ambiguously gendered Japanese Vocaloid to be on the market. In October 2011, an additional voicebank was released for Vocaloid 3 (ぶいわいわんぶいすりー).

VY1 has no official characteristics, but she is portrayed as a young woman with long pink and teal hair, a two piece red and white outfit, and flowers holding her hair up. She is also holding a shamisen. However, this design is not her official avatar and was the winner for the contest held for VY1 and VY2's mascots.

VY2 (ぶいわいつー, ブイワイツー) is a V2, developed and distributed by Bplats, Inc. and Yamaha. It was released in April 2011 and is the second ambiguously gendered Japanese Vocaloid 2 to be on the market. An additional voicebank was released for Vocaloid 3 (ぶいわいつーぶいすりー).

VY2 has no official characteristics, but he is portrayed as a young man with pink hair, a sweater, a green shirt, a pink tie, and black pants. However, this design is not his official avatar and was the winner for the contest held for VY1 and VY2's mascots.

MEW is a Vocaloid series 3, who is to be developed by Yamaha and distributed by Bplats, Inc. She was released in October 2011 and is the tenth Japanese female Vocaloid and the second Japanese female Vocaloid 3.

Mew official has characteristics. She is portrayed as a mature female in a simple strap top. In her concept art, she is also shown to have a long black skirt, black glasses, a black necklace, black heels, and a scarf that seems to represent a cat's tail.

Tone Rion officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a purple haired young female who appears like a maid with a mecha-like theme.

Aoki Lapis officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a purple/blue haired young female with a notable diamond on her head, a shirt and skirt made with different shades of blue and teal, white gloves, and wears long white boots. Her hair is short and has two long strands in the back of her head.

Luo Tianyi officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a young black haired female. Her hair is cut short with two long strands in the front, she wears a dress and boots in a blue and white theme, and wears one thigh high on her left leg.

Yan He officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a teen with short white hair, a white jacket with red and teal fringe, black shorts, and white shoes with teal and red laces.

MERLI (メルリ) is a V3 developed and distributed by Bplats, Inc. and was created in collaboration with i-style Project. She was released in December 2013.

Merli officially has characteristics. She is portrayed as a purple haired young female with a notable jewel accessory on her head. She has a two piece outfit and wears long black boots. Her hair is cut like a swallow tail and there are two long strands at the sides of her head.

anon and kanon were released for the VOCALOID 3 engine in March, 2014. They are marketed as identical twins and 12th grade senior highschoolers. They are also given a description of their personality and other information. They were the first VOCALOIDs to be confirmed as twins.

Hatsune Miku officially has characteristic, portrayed as a aquamarine haired teen wearing a school uniform-like outfit with detached sleeves and long black boots. Her append release was in April 2010, she is dressed in a white top with a black leggings.

KAGAMINE RIN and KAGAMINE LEN (鏡音リン ・レン; Rin Kagamine and Len Kagamine) are a pair of Vocaloid series 2, developed by Crypton Future Media and distributed by Crypton Future Media. They were released in December 2007 and are the first duel Japanese Vocaloids released on the market. The voicebanks consist of Rin, the third Japanese female but the second Japanese Female Vocaloid 2, and Len, the second Japanese male but the first Japanese male Vocaloid 2.

Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len officially have characteristic, portayed as blond haired young teens wearing school uniform-like outfits with visible sailor collars. They both have detached sleeves and wear black legwarmers. Their append release was December 2010, they are dressed similar to their standard design, a white top and belt straps.

MEGURINE LUKA (巡音ルカ; Luka Megruine) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Crypton Future Media and distributed by Crypton Future Media. She was released in January 2009 and is the fourth Japanese female Vocaloid and the third Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Megurine Luka officially has characteristic, portrayed as a pink haired woman wearing a top and a side slit dress, like her previous Vocaloid 2 companions, she has a detached sleeve.

Mayu officially has characteristic, portrayed as a young light blond female with rainbow hair. She wears a gothic lolita dress with piano print, her head accessory, gloves, socks and shoes are all black. She carries around a yellow bunny named Usano Mimi. Her theme personality is said to be yandere, so she also has an axe as an item.

Kamui Gakupo is also known as Gakupoid and officially has characteristic, portrayed with a samurai aesthetic, clad in a Jinbaori. Underneath his attire is a body suit.

GUMI (グミ) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Internet Co.,Ltd and distributed by Internet Co.,Ltd. She was released in June 2009 and is the fifth Japanese female Vocaloid and the fourth Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market. In October 2011 additional voicebanks were released for Vocaloid 3, making her the first Japanese female Vocaloid 3.

Gumi is also known as Megpoid and officially has characteristic, teen with a crop top and skirt, the midsection is transparent. Her notable accessory is her goggles and garter belt.

LILY (リリィ; Ririi) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Avex Management Co., Ltd and Yamaha, and distributed by Internet Co.,Ltd. She was released in August 2010 and is the eighth Japanese female Vocaloid and the seventh Japanese female Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Lily officially has characteristic, portrayed as young woman with a revealing top and skirt bottom, wearing heeled thigh boots.

RYUTO (リュウト) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Internet Co.,Ltd. and distributed by Internet Co.,Ltd and affiliated with FujiTV Kids. He was released in October 2010 and is the fifth Japanese male Vocaloid and the fourth Japanese male Vocaloid 2 to be on the market.

Ryuto is also known as Gachapoid and officially has characteristic, he is portrayed as a young child and dressed in a theme based on his product name, Gachapin, a bucket tooth dinosaur. His attire is a school uniform-like outfit with a backpack.

CUL (カル) is a Vocaloid series 3, developed by Internet Co.,Ltd, the distribution is currently unknown. She was revealed as the mascot of VOCALO Revolution in early 2011, she originally used VY1's vocals, a Vocaloid 2 released by Bplats, Inc. She is now an official Vocaloid, she was released in December 2011 and is the twelfth Japanese female Vocaloid and the fourth Japanese female Vocaloid 3 to be on the market.

Cul officially has characteristic, as a young female with a red color scheme, wearing a sleeved dress, striped stockings and boots, her second appearance is a long black long coat with white shorts and garter top. Her hair is in a ponytail in both incarnations.

GALACO (ギャラ子) is a Vocaloid series 3, that was offered exclusively in the Vocaloid Shop competition. She is distributed by Internet Co.

Galaco officially has characteristic, she is portrayed as a caramel haired young female with rainbow highlights, she wears a jacket and a dress done in a 'space theme' pattern and wears boots of the same pattern. There is also a crown on her head.

UTATANE PIKO (歌手音ピコ) is a Vocaloid series 2, developed by Ki/oon Records and distributed by Sony Music Distribution Inc. He was released in December 2010 and is the sixth Japanese male Vocaloid and the fifth Japanese male Vocaloid to be on the market.

Utatane Piko officially has characteristic, portrayed as a white haired young male with an androgynous appearance, and wearing a short bottomed dress with a guitar pattern. He has a UBS cord appearing to connect to the back of him, and his hair features an ahoge(hair strand).

RING SUZUNE (リング・スズネ) is a Vocaloid series 3, who is suspected to be developed by Yamaha, the distribution is currently unknown. Her revised design was revealed in May 2011.

Ring Suzune can officially be considered to have two characteristic, one being the revise and the second being the original design by the contestant in February 2011.

The revised is a young blue haired female in a matching navy dress set. Her original design appears more mature, with long white hair with a black and white top and black skirt. Her notable features are in relation to her namesake, glowing rings.

HIBIKI LUI (ヒビキ・ルイ; Lui Hibiki) is a Vocaloid series 3, who is suspected to be developed by Yamaha, the distribution is currently unknown. His revised design was revealed in May 2011.

Hibiki Lui can officially be considered to have two characteristic, one being the revise and the second being the original design by the contestant in March 2011.

The revised is a young orange haired male in a white coat and shirt, with blue shorts and red boots. His original design appears much like a youthful male, with the same attire as his original only darker in color.

Korean VocaloidsEdit

SEEU (시유, シユ) is a Vocaloid series 3, developed by SBS Artech, the distribution is currently unknown. Her design was revealed in August 2011. She was released October 2011 and is the first Korean female Vocaloid.

SeeU officially has characteristic, she is portrayed as a young platinum blond female, she has a two piece outfit consisting of an orange top and skirt.

Akikoloid-chan officially has characteristic, she is portrayed as a pink haired young female with a notable bun do, she has a two piece outfit done in blue stripes and wears white boots.

UEKI-LOID (植木ロイド) is a Vocaloid series assumed 3, who is being developed as an older male voice bank, he is affiliated with Music Airport, Inc.

Ueki-loid officially has characteristic, his features are very much like a Japanese man, he has a short haircut and wears a blue suit.
